CHOICES Drama Workshops

Youth who participate in the CHOICES Drama Workshops will:

  • expand and improve their interaction and communication skills,
  • improve their conflict resolution skills,
  • learn good listening skills,
  • awaken hidden talents,
  • develop a tolerance for discipline,
  • learn to accept a challenge,
  • increase self-esteem, and
  • learn self control and how to stay focused.

 An Intensive Drama Workshop

Our more intensive drama workshops engage up to 20 youth in a fully produced dramatic performance that requires a 3 to 6-month commitment. The youth are rewarded by acting in a play that was developed out of discussions around a topic that the youth feel is important to them. From the group discussion youth frame their own production piece. Youth receive basic information on script writing and production development, coupled with drama techniques and training. This rounds out their three to six-month experience, which culminates into the production of a play for their school, Church or community.

In the past, successful drama workshops resulted in the following performances that ran in the City of Alexandria:

  • NO More Drama – dealing with issues of bullying and substance addicted parents
  • House Party - dealing with abusive parents
  • Love is Blind - dealing with peer pressure, teen pregnancy and STD’s

CHOICES Motivational Services will come to your youth and work with them to Create a Memory that they will Remember for a Lifetime.

The fees for the intensive drama workshop vary according to the need. If you are interested in having a workshop, or group discussion done with your youth group or Church, click here to contact us.
